About your role

You are a trusted Corporate Relations chief adviser, directly supporting the Chief financial officer and the Group executive, Strategy & Development to strengthen advocacy and engagement amongst internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of our strategy, sustainability and growth agendas. Reporting to the General manager Corporate Relations you will:

• Provide strategic internal and external communications advice and leading practice recommendations to executive and senior management, across multiple complex global portfolios including Finance, Exploration, Closure, Business Development, Strategy, Sustainability and Climate Change
• Design, implement and measure Corporate Relations strategies to support employee engagement within Finance and Strategy & Development
• Act as a key Corporate Relations support and conduit for growth and divestment activities including new discoveries and mergers & acquisitions, developing integrated plans covering media, brand, government and investor communications and engagement
• Showcase major growth milestones and achievements and participate in issues and crisis management, in collaboration with media relations, investor relations and other teams within Rio Tinto
• Partner with Investor Relations to provide inputs and shape the narrative in the reporting cycle and investor seminars
• Provide communications coaching to senior leaders

About you

We are looking for a strategic and lateral thinker with an ability to 'connect' the dots. You will be a highly competent writer and communicator and able to translate complex financial and technical information into engaging content. You will have a strong sense of curiosity, are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Strong prioritisation skills and well-developed influencing capability will see you thrive in this role!

You are also proactive and have the courage to explore new ideas and innovate, while fostering a positive work environment to support and collaborate with team members across the Group. You will have at least 15 years' professional experience in corporate communications at a senior level, a tertiary qualification in business communications or finance would be wellregarded.
