We are seeking a Staff Accountant.

Description of Responsibilities:

We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to be based in our Denver, Colorado office. This individual will work within a team of accounting professionals and report to the US Controller.

General Ledger

• Assist with month end close processes and procedures
• Analyze and reconcile all bank accounts
• Prepare journal entries
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned
• Correct errors by posting adjusting journal entries
• Analyze and reconcile fixed assets
• Actively participate in month-end and year-end financial closing processes and reporting
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements are in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies

Other

• Provide excellent customer service by answering employee questions in a timely fashion
• Make recommendations to streamline existing processes and improve work efficiency
• Help ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal guidelines; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

• 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1- 2 years general ledger experience
• Proficient in Excel including vlookups and pivot tables
• Effective planning, organization and time management skills and experience;
• Attention to detail; must process things accurately in a timely fashion;
• Comfortability with a changing work environment;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
