Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Improvement the Senior Project Lead, Asset Health is responsible for the effective delivery of Teck’s Asset Health Program. This program focuses on the integration of near-real time monitoring systems to improve preventative interventions on critical equipment using advanced digital tooling.

To be successful we require someone with outstanding organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, who is able to effectively collaborate with partners at all levels across the organization. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to learn new things, and can prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Most importantly, you must have strong problem solving skills and an adept ability to work with a team and lead change.

In this role you will have the chance to create a centre of excellence for asset health across our operations and business units. You will be influencing operational performance with the use of sophisticated tooling and new technologies that haven't been used anywhere else in the industry before.

Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Ensure the effective application of project processes, including the Teck Project Delivery Framework, management of change, project charter development, and project execution
  • Provide direction to identify strengths, critical issues, and areas of risk and exposure in the execution of the program
  • Coordinate the efforts of a team of internal and external domain specialists dedicated to the program or a shared program resource
  • Ensure effective communications and collaboration with all partners and implement organizational change activities, including operational readiness
  • Optimize and support employee work performance and efficiency by providing leadership, training, and development opportunities, coaching and mentoring staff, and completing evaluations
  • Deliver asset health initiatives with key success factors aligned to the project business case, including health and safety, environmental compliance, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Integrate activity planning on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in order to support cost management, reliability, and asset lifecycle performance
  • Coordinate with RACE21™ and other partners to incorporate new technologies in the Asset Health Program


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with preference for Project Management Professional designation
  • Minimum 10 years demonstrated ability in project management in an industrial environment
  • Minimum seven years previous experience supervising or leading a team
  • Solid understanding of contractual agreements and proven ability to manage work within contract terms
  • Understanding of Condition Monitoring techniques, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Modes/Effects Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis
