Essential Responsibilities
- Conducts on-going training, assessment, and task certification of equipment operators and maintenance personnel
- May conducts site orientation, new hire, and MSHA training as needed
- Conducts operator and maintenance move training requirements at various projects
- Contributes to the development and implementation of all U.S. mining training programs with Ledcor Management
- May also conducts required miner training for all US mining operations
- Demonstrates proper equipment operating techniques
- Tracks, records, and reports training with relevant record keeping, signoff and filing
Qualifications
- 10+ years of mining industry and heavy civil experience with 3+ years' experience as a mine training professional (MSHA, equipment operator training). MSHA certified instructor preferred OSHA 30 compliant a plus.
- Complete understanding of production mining and construction equipment and practices the correct and safe operating of mining equipment including loaders, haul trucks, bulldozers, excavators, water trucks, blades, drills, and various support equipment. Portable Crushers and Screening plants required. GPS High precision knowledge is also required.
- Excellent administrative skills for the development, implementation and tracking of personnel training
- Strong ability to assess skills and competencies of operators and their potential
- Strong ability to interact with site team (field hourly and staff management)
- Proven track record of supporting safe work practices in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project schedule
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Travel will be required for this position
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
