Requirements

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and characteristics:
  • Working towards an undergraduate degree in Metallurgical, Process or Chemical Engineering
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a range of engineering, technical, and operational personnel
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Prior experience with simulation software would be considered an asset
  • Willingness to participate in data analysis, process simulation, development of new processes, process optimization, day-to-day troubleshooting and laboratory test work
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data to identify key trends and determine root cause
  • Participation in the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day

All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work.
