Position summary:

Downer Defence Systems is seeking an experienced Workforce Practitioner (WFP) for a short term, outcomes based role within Defence.

The required outcome will be to take carriage of a drafted Workforce Plan through to a final, approved WFP including the facilitation of the final Workforce Risk Assessment.

Responsibilities:

The duties of the Workforce Practitioner include:
  • review existing artefacts and redraft documents.
  • collect and coordinate stakeholder needs.
  • conduct kick-off meetings.
  • finalise Workforce Plan.
  • See Workforce Plan approval.
  • Facilitate Workforce Risk Assessment.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

The Specified Persons must have the skills, tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience necessary to perform the specified Workforce Planning tasks.
  • A relevant degree or diploma in Organisational Development, Human Resources, or other related field.

About you:
  • An experienced Workforce Practitioner who communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Understanding & practical experience working within a Defence project, quality assurance & business improvement process practices and targeted & effective business solutions and outcomes.
  • Experience in building trusted & valued relationships with project team members, customers & partners.
  • Must hold an Australian Government security clearance (NV1 level and above).
