Purpose of The Role
Responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable process including supplier invoice processing, statement reconciliation, for local and Perth transactions.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges
  • Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
  • Control all processing and reconciliation of invoices and payments related to Perth Transactions.
  • Analysis and conciliation of supplier's statement.
  • Weekly reporting, aging, GRNI, payments.
  • Prepare support documents for payment proposals.
  • Make recommendations to improve quality on process and payments.
  • Positively contribute, through strong leadership, and adherence to the company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Education
    • Undergraduate degree in accounting or relative careers
    • Possess a minimum of 5 years experience with accounts payable cycle
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft application software (particularly Excel and Word).

Skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong ability to work in a "team" environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft application software (particularly Excel and Word).
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.


  • Experience
    • Experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion software will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
    • Experience in a large public accounting practice is highly desirable


  • Language


Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Spanish highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.
