Electrical Technical Officer
Work Location: Hedland Operations
Roster: 4D:3R or 8D:6R FIFO ex Perth or Residential in Hedland
This permanent full-time position is within our Rolling Stock Maintenance department. You will provide safe, effective and timely Electronic Technical Support to our Heavy Haul Rail Operations and Maintenance Teams, specialising in but not limited to Train ECP braking Systems.

Electrical Technical Officer

Key accountabilities will include:
- Fault finding, diagnosing and offering technical support to maintenance teams during breakdowns.
- Responding to in field breakdowns as required.
- Providing operating, fault finding, and diagnostic training to Maintenance Teams.
- Breakdown and fault finding on electronic workshop production equipment.
- Conducting repairs to ECP Braking components.
- Designing, developing and constructing electronic systems for in house manufacturing plant.
- Scoping continuous improvement opportunities
- Raising notifications and work orders
- Statutory testing and inspections
Qualifications and skills required:
- Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (Special Class) or Electronics Technician trade qualification
- Previous experience as Electronics Technician
- Previous ECP Heavy Haul Braking System experience
- Experience in PLC systems and control communication systems
- Basic instrumentation experience
- Competent understanding of Electrical & Electronic schematics
- Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
