Fortescue is now consistently producing more than 170 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead, establishing itself for future growth in a global market through innovation, product diversification and asset development.

The company is scheduled to commence production at its Iron Bridge magnetite mine in mid-2022.

Iron Bridge is Fortescue's US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.

Deconstruction Supervisor - 9 Months Fixed Term Contract

Work Location: Iron Bridge

Roster: 14/7 - FIFO ex Perth

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Co-ordination of demolition activities and resolving interface issues to achieve project schedule and budget in applicable disciplines;
  • Technical compliance in applicable disciplines;
  • Demolition Contractor scope of works and Overall control of applicable contractors work area;
  • Review and approval of Contractor Work method statements;
  • Management of the applicable contractor to ensure and verify that all construction work conforms to the project engineering and quality system requirements;
  • Monitoring the contractors work effort in conjunction with the contractors 3 week look ahead and their ability to maintain the schedule and budget within agreed parameters with the contractors site manning and equipment;
  • Compliance of all persons to FMG Health & Safety and Environmental Management Plans;
  • Motivating Contractor and Project Employees to accept and support Project safety values through their leadership and actions and commitment to the project safety program; Ensure compliance with Environmental responsibilities as specified in the CEMP and Works Approval.
  • Fulfil their responsibilities and accountabilities as detailed in their letter of appointment.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • SMP Trades background.
  • 7-10 years' Supervisors experience would suffice.
  • Demolition Supervisors licence preferred.
  • Working at Heights Training
