This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the ground level of a rapidly expanding, dynamic, global green energy business. Fortescue Future Industries is currently undertaking a rapid expansion and are seeking applications for a Principal, Commercial Hydrogen to work with our energy team.
Reporting to the Manager, Energy and Power (Strategy and Legal), the Principal Commercial - Hydrogen will assist and lead the negotiation and management of a broad range of commercial arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives in accordance with Fortescue Future Industries' corporate energy strategy.

- Managing a portfolio of high value, business critical agreements
- Leading negotiations and providing strategic direction with regards to the development, implementation and management of contracts
- Compiling agreement documentation, recommendations for award and managing variations
- Reviewing and processing claims
- Identifying and creating opportunities for cost reduction and value adding in all agreements
- Managing strategic contractor relationships
In order to be successful in this role:
- Candidates must be able to bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking, and be prepared to work outside of their comfort zone
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels within the organisation, including site and core functional areas (eg tax, finance, legal, purchasing and accounts)
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced commercial contracts function
- Experience in managing and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including claims and invoicing
- Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously, whilst managing team priorities
- SAP and Microsoft Office experience
