OCE/ Senior Supervisor

Job Highlights

About the role
We are seeking a candidate that displays excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as having open cut mining experience. As a key member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in implementing the client's production requirements.

This ongoing role will be based in an open cut coal mine outside of Boggabri, NSW with camp facilities being provided for 3 months only.

The pay rate will be $90.00 per hour flat.

It is a Monday - Friday roster (1x week days, 1x week nights rotating) with 12 hour shifts.

There will be an opportunity for the right candidate for a permanent position with the client following 6 months.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily production plans and corresponding job safety analysis or risk assessments
  • Adequately escalate any safety related issues as required
  • Ensure safety and health documentation at site is kept accurate and current
  • Communicate regularly with the Superintendent in regards to safety & production targets
  • Have an understanding of Quality, Materials, Stockpile and Environmental Management Plans
  • Ability to manage and lead a successful team

Skills & Experience

  • Open Cut Examiners Qualification
  • NSW Order 43 Coal Board Medical
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
  • Experience in working in open cut mining
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in managing & leading a team
