Summary
Come join our Bismarck office team with the opportunity to work on challenging projects and provide leadership to experienced engineering professionals! The person in this position will work on multidisciplinary project teams providing mechanical engineering and related technical expertise. This person will help support our power and fuels industry capabilities, working primarily for industrial processing facilities such as power plants, fuels facilities, mining facilities, and other heavy industrial facilities. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments.

NOTE: Some work locations will feature the rough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment. Safety training will be provided prior to being given work assignments on these sites. Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.

Responsibilities will include
- providing input on designs
- preparing design drawings and specifications
- providing technical support to project teams
- preparing sketches for system arrangement
- writing technical reports
- preparing cost estimates
- business development and business planning for the region
- writing proposals and managing proposal teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 10+ years of experience working on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above
- Professional Engineer (PE) certified or ability to obtain PE within one year
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness to work cooperatively in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative
- Demonstrated project organization and management skills
- Flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs
- Acceptable driving record
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in consulting engineering
- Strong relationships with clients and the ability to develop or foster ongoing relationships and maintain a high level of client service
- Proven project management skills
