We are growing in Taupo with exciting times ahead with our civil construction projects a plenty!!!!! You will provide effective operational management of projects by planning, organising, directing and controlling activities of operational crews to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of customers with specific focus on safety, quality, productivity and time management.

About the role
As our Construction Supervisor, you will be providing leadership and guidance to our high performing frontline team's this means:
  • Staff Management
  • Ensuring completion of works to a high standard
  • Utilising all resources to their fullest potential
  • Provide an adaptable customer focussed and responsive service
  • Continuing and developing our positive Zero harm culture
  • Enhancing our policies and procedures, including safety, traffic management, quality, environmental, financial reporting and resource management

Additionally, you will ensure key customer and stakeholder relationships are enhanced, actively maintained, developed, and fostered "leading through collaboration" and "best for business practice" approach.

About you
It will be essential that you have several years' experience leading a team in the civil construction industry with experience, with roading/surfacing construction experience being advantageous. Leading by example will be your moto.
  • Preferable to have NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Site Supervision) or similar qualification or at least be prepared to work towards this.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good computer literacy
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge
  • Ability to influence with demonstrated leadership behaviours that empower others to achieve.
