Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager – Rail to join the Infrastructure group in our team in Gurugram – Delhi NCR

As the successful candidate, you will:



  • Be responsible to manage, coordinate, administer and deliver the area of the project within the scope, cost and schedule baseline and ensuring the area of the project is delivered within the safety, quality and environmental objectives agreed for the project
  • Carry clear responsibility and accountability for delivery of the objectives for a project taking into consideration the full project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project controls
  • Coordinate, monitor and control the project in line with the detailed scope, cost and schedule control baselines and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed baseline
  • Exercise budgetary control to ensure costs are not exceeded without proper authority. Provide such information as is required to obtain additional authorization where necessary
  • Ensures governance on the project, specifically compliance to project delegations of authority, procedures and policies
  • Coordinate and monitor team members in their performance and influences their activities as necessary to ensure project requirements are achieved
  • Ensure measurement of progress on all contracts for reporting and progress claim purposes
  • Communicates regularly with all staff to ensure that goals and priorities are clearly understood and to promote a healthy working environment


You bring to the role:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in engineering, package coordination, project controls and construction in railway projects
  • 15 years relevant experience including involvement in at least one significant EPC / EPCM project and proven track record in engineering, procurement, construction and project controls
  • A registered engineer or a PMP registration is an asset
  • Experience in large earthmoving projects as well as in rail superstructure construction required, with rail operations and rail maintenance beneficial
  • Experience in engineering, procurement and construction and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies
  • Coordination, organization and planning of community awareness
  • Commercially astute (financial and legal)
