The Transport Services division here at Downer has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work in Hastings. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual interested in becoming part of the crew as a Driver Operator.

About the role:

In this role, you will be working in a diverse and welcoming crew operating our machinery from excavators, rollers and trucks as we carry out work throughout the region. This position will require labouring duties, which could include pavement works. With summer around the corner, if you are physically fit, enjoy spending your days outdoors and on your feet, this could be the position for you.

About you:

Along with your positive attitude and your commitment to safe work practices there are a few other essentials to what we are looking for:

• You'll hold a minimum Class 5 full New Zealand driver's licence
• Previous experience and knowledge working in pavements
• A proven track record of operating machinery in the civil construction industry
• Ability to work hands-on and unsupervised

You'll have a good sense of humour with the eagerness to come and get your hands dirty.
