About the company
Our client is a globally diversified gold producer with operations in WA, they are keen to attract candidates with previous exposure to paste fill. From a geotechnical perspective, this is an exciting opportunity to add value to an operation with a deep seismic mine.

The role
As a Geotechnical Engineer for the site you will be primarily responsible providing operation support and service to the underground mines, with some assistance to the open pit.

Specific duties of the position include:
  • Daily geotechnical tasks including review of development and plans, documentation of inspections, geotechnical monitoring, and stability analysis
  • Communicating geotechnical aspects of mining to management and to the workforce
  • Identify and manage geotechnical risks and develop systems to monitor and manage these
  • Collect and analyse geotechnical data and maintain applicable data bases
  • Providing design parameters, modelling and advice on the appropriate mine design and future projects.


About you
To be successful you will possess:

  • Min of 5 years geotechnical engineering experience including 3 years operational experience in underground mining
  • Experience in using Deswik, Rocsience™suite, & numerical modelling packages
  • Project/cost management training would be highly regarded.

The position operates on an 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth and offers an attractive salary package including individual performance related bonus scheme and private health insurance.
