Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Container Management Operator. Due to anticipated needs, we are currently recruiting for a career oriented individual to fill this role.

Will be on an even Rotation schedule.

Reporting to the Logistics and Procurement Coordinator.

Responsibilities :

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Operate heavy equipment which includes, but not limited to:

• Hyster V1050, Forklifts, Tractor/Trailer, Medium Sized Vehicles, 966 loader

• Collect, clean and inspect shipping containers
• Maintain container database
• Prepare items for southbound shipment
• Promote high standards of housekeeping and safety
• Works directly with team members during shipping season

Qualifications :

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a positive and safe work history
• Must have a valid and current Drivers License
• Basic computer skills
• Previous equipment experience
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Must be service and team-oriented and exhibit sound judgement
• Possess a high level of urgency to get work completed while keeping safety at the forefront
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment
