Position: Senior Mining Engineer - Weekly Scheduling

Work Location: Cloudbreak

Roster: FIFO Ex Perth 4:3

We are currently seeking highly motivated Senior Mining Engineer to join the Cloudbreak operations planning team. Reporting to the Sort Term Planning Superintendent, this role is responsible for leading weekly scheduling engineers to prepare and communicate 2-week production schedule on weekly basis to sequence mine development and production to achieve grade and tones targets set out by 3 months plan.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Coordinate and conduct weekly preplanning meetings and communication of plans.
  • Supervise weekly scheduling engineers on day-to-day basis for timely delivery of weekly schedules and pit development schedules.
  • Ensure required standards and compliance measures are developed, maintained and followed.
  • Prepare and communicate weekly production information and compliance to plan measures.
  • Recruit, train, mentor and retain team members.
  • Monitor and take corrective actions daily schedule compliance to 2-week schedule.
  • Provide input into 3-month planning process

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Extensive experience in mining engineering including Daily & Weekly scheduling
  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering
  • Strong design and scheduling software skills.
  • Team orientation and strong ability to take initiatives
  • Effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders with varying technical knowledge
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Current WA C-Class driving license
