Position: Daily Planner

Work Location: Solomon

Roster: FIFO Ex Perth 8:6, 7:7 Days and Nights

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Daily Planner to join our Solomon operation. Reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer, this role is responsible for planning and executing the daily mine and blend plans to achieve rail quality conformance.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Planning, executing and monitoring of blend plans to achieve railing quality conformance.
  • Planning ore destinations to achieve stockpile builds as per 2-week plan.
  • Delivery and communication of the shift plan in-line with 2-week plan guidance.
  • Daily inspections of work areas to ensure an achievable plan.
  • Maintaining key stakeholder relationships with Mining, OPF and Stockyard teams.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Relevant mining experience gained in Mine Quality, Grade control background.
  • Practical approach to engineering and design problems
  • Knowledge in open pit mining, preferably in iron ore.
  • Short to medium term planning, scheduling, and mine design knowledge
  • Computer proficiency (Excel, MS Office, Vulcan, Gantt Scheduling)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously, with a strong ability to take initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with solid interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective planning and time management skills
  • Class C manual WA driver's license
  • Ability to work night shift
