Our client, an international gold miner with a flagship asset in Africa currently seeks an Senior Mining Engineer to undertake the following responsibilities blending both production and planning:
- UG Mine planning and scheduling for production and development inclusive of short & long term.
- Budget prep, modelling, reporting writing and variance analysis.
- Continuous improvement in safety and reducing the AISC.
- Design and schedule Drill & Blast activities while monitoring Production Engineer execution.
- Contractor monitoring and guiding UG Superintendents in corrective actions.
- Monitor, review and assure the quality of capital projects focusing on design and cost.
- Quartering planning and partnership with corporate on LOM design.
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified Mining Engineer with relevant experience for the above and a track record of success in Underground gold mining.
