Sr. Advisor Global Banking & Treasury

About the role

We are looking for a Sr. Advisor who would be responsible for supporting and managing the organization's treasury and banking operations.

This position is an excellent opportunity to join the Treasury team based in Delhi. This dynamic team is responsible for managing organizations global Treasury and banking operations which involves handling large transactional operations for global banking and Treasury operations. Manage liquidity and funding through in-house banking model, ensure on time funding across BU accounts, manage capital contributions, divestments, Treasury payments & settlements while ensuring correct recording of flows in entity's books. Reporting to the Manager/ Sr. Manager - Global Treasury Services, you will be:

· Responsible for day to day operations of global Banking & Treasury requiring coordination with Treasury, Banks and Product groups of Rio Tinto spread across various countries to cater global banking business requirements.

· Demonstrate extensive knowledge and deliver on treasury activities like daily bank rec and cash positioning, cash forecasting, funding and repatriation, liquidity management, cash pooling, payments and settlements and intercompany settlements via house banking structure.

· Knowledge of Bank account reconciliations, Daily Bank Statement Upload & Clearing of various BU bank accounts.

· Manage relationships with the Company's global bankers and ensure compliance with their various reporting requirements. Able to communicate and build strong relationship with banks, negotiate with external parties (bankers, regulators, external counsels, etc.)

· Manage BAM function: Opening/Closing of bank accounts, manage bank mandates and signatories. To perform Bank administration activities with respect to user creation, order/manage bank tokens, entitlement modification, password resets, Lock/Unlock users, user deletion, Bank coordination & liaising to ensure all online banking users are able to work seamlessly.

· Should have good understanding and participate of banking related projects to establish new host to host connections, APIs, virtual accounts, onboarding new bank etc.

· Assisting the team with documentation related to various bank facilities (LC/BG/SLA agreements/bank mandates/other queries from bank). Will be responsible to maintain repository of Bank accounts, Bank Mandates and Bank signatory information which can be reproduced whenever required.

· Knowledge in relation to adherence of banking compliances and procedures and controls like ACB, AML, cross border restrictions, regulated markets etc. and have fair understanding of internal banking controls and SoX controls with experience of leading internal and external audits.

· Responsible to review and provide clarification on legal language, conducting legal due diligence and recommend revisions to templates periodically, to reflect new requirements and knowledge of corporate secretarial law and be familiar with Companies Ordinance, rules and regulations of regulatory bodies.

· Responsible to work with off-shore delivery services center to gather required data/inputs and perform rigorous and insightful analysis per business requirements. Understand the accounting entries and its treatment related to cash management, trading activities and treasury related transactions. Expertise in BRS/Bank recon process, Review and approve bank reconciliations.

· Ensuring funding, Wires payments cash calls being validated before being approved with respect to authorized source documents in the process initiating the payment/transfer.

· Should have fair understanding of capital markets and trading instruments, commodity trading back office function.

· Estimating working capital requirements/cash forecasting and planning/arranging sufficient working capital limits.

· Prioritize Projects as per Strategic Business Objectives

· Collaborating and communicating effectively within Treasury, Banking and with external vendor to define, prioritize, and develop projects.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • B.Com/M.Com/CTP/CPA/CS/CA/ICWA/MBA Finance.

· 10+ years of Finance operations, Global Banking / Treasury experience or similar experience.

· Experience cash management, transactional banking & Treasury operations

· Team leading , team management and strong stakeholder management skills and experience

· Understanding and experience of treasury accounting including FX, liquidity, cash flow and various financial instruments

· Sound understanding of accounting principles

· Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and debt instruments

· Knowledge of banking relationships and covenants

· Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team

· Appropriate handling of sensitive information

· Excellent time management and organisational ability

· High level of attention to detail

· Strong client relationship management and customer service skills

· Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties

· Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages.

Interfaces

· Knowledge of SAP/ERP/Treasury Management System (Quantum)

· FERA and FEMA compliances and banking procedures , compliances FACTA, AML, ACB, SOX

· Knowledge of MS Office/Teams /SharePoint
