About the role
The HR Senior Advisor will partner with HRBPs and Leaders to drive people outcomes aligned with Rio Tinto Commercial's business strategy. This will include a range of activities from translating commercial strategy into a delivery road map; to providing operational & tactical HR advisory support to dedicated client areas.

In close partnership with the HR Business Partners, this role is responsible for the delivery of HR services to the business such as employee and labour relations, recruitment, talent, pension and benefits, performance management and compensation and cyclical HR processes.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR practitioner who thrives on and takes pride in building and owning stakeholder relationships across different cultures and time zones. Reporting to the Manager HR Operations (Commercial), you will:

· Lead effective partnership with key stakeholders, solving complex problems to meet business outcomes whilst balancing alignment with relevant internal and external boundaries

· Support the HR Manager and HR Business Partners in deployment of special projects, interventions and recurring annual activities such as salary review, talent review and change management.

· Translate Commercial strategy into a delivery roadmap and execute, co-ordinating with local, regional and global teams as required

· Identify and implement opportunities to further simplify HR process. Identify data trends, generate insights and form recommendations to strengthen service delivery and outcomes for the business

· Support labour relations with regards to case management, investigations, grievances and complaints while being aligned to the employee relations strategy.

· Implement Human Resource reporting and metrics and escalating emerging issues/themes with a focus on using data to drive problem solving and decision-making. Use insights and data to identify potential gaps and proactively developing strategies to address those gaps.
What you will need for the role
To succeed in this role, you will have:

· Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent

· Proven abilities in building effective virtual relationship with team and stakeholders

· Effective partnering experience with leaders in a global organisation

· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, deliver and implement change in a complex, networked/matrix global organisation across multiple countries and cultures

· Effective stakeholder management across a range of countries and cultures

· A proven track record delivering results a can do attitude, willingness to get your hands dirty, organised and a bias for action

· Ability to pragmatically resolve complex issues across several countries

· Flexibility to work across time zones and hold a high level of integrity, confidentiality and credibility

· Relevant experience and technical expertise in Human Resources

It will also be beneficial if you have:

· Experience in commodities sector

· Experience in PowerBI / Data Analytics
