How will you contribute to the team?

Reporting to the Manager, Business System Support, the Business Systems Analyst engages directly with business users, process owners and management alongside IT/IS team interfaces. This role is responsible for managing business process changes, specifications, configuration, testing, training and for providing business consultancy and system support in the areas of JD Edwards Enterprise One Distribution Module.

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Engages Business Leaders, providing consultation, gathering their requirements (project or support related) and translating them into functional - technical specifications.
  • Review cross-functional business processes, identify gaps and propose remediation.
  • Maintains business process documentation and identifies areas for process improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitating business change in support of solution design and implementation. Documents systems and their interdependencies.
  • Evolving and maintaining design documents to reflect changes introduced by new implementations.
  • Analyzes and problem solves system issues in respective application portfolio to determine the best course of action to correct the situation.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings/presentations with various levels of management.
  • Maintains domain Application-System knowledge and keeps abreast of new technology developments in key area of responsibilities.
  • Drives the quality assurance process by assisting the business to translate business requirements and use cases into test plans and scenarios.
  • Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions and the compliance to established standards.  
  • Works with Business across the organization to document and obtain requirements, supporting the creation of prototype solutions such as analytics, KPI dashboards, etc.
  • Providing technical assistance to the business in the use of information and data.


What will you contribute?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology management, business management administration or finance related major.
  • 5+ years of functional analyst experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne   Distribution Module and nice to have knowledge of Capital Asset Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in the process design, configuration, support and troubleshooting of functional areas listed above.
  • Significant experience in data conversions and master data management experience defining, testing and trouble-shooting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to 3rd party system data interfaces.
  • Organized and task oriented. Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects concurrently ensuring that timelines are balanced with resource constraints and resulting deadlines are met.
  • Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad based information systems and utilizing advanced tools and techniques to effect business change Skills.
  • Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing business presentations and power user training materials.
  • Demonstrated competency in project planning and delivery.
  • Experience in construction would be asset.
  • Bilingual French and English preferred.
