The Event & Marketing Officer will report to the Communication and Marketing Manager in the Customer Relationships and Growth team. The role of the Marketing Officer is to promote and market the business with key stakeholders by developing and implementing marketing strategies and activities.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Downer Defence Systems (DDS) business with event management including relevant and timely marketing activities. The Event & Marketing Officer will be the lead for event management and will be responsible for the set up and running of events including conference booths and will assist with any other marketing or communication activities under the direction of the Communication and Marketing Manager. The position will play an important role in developing and maintaining DDS' brand image and will support the Communication and Marketing Manager with specialist marketing advice and recommendations in addition to the event management role.

The successful candidate will have relevant event management qualifications, and an undergraduate tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Business (or comparable professional experience) will be well regarded. The candidate will have 3-5 years experience working in an event management role, and will ideally have some marketing experience.

Due to client requirements, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency security clearance at the appropriate level (must be an Australian citizen)
