Position summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Management and Reliability Engineer to support the reliability engineering function within the Downer's Rail Systems team.

The position will predominantly support the design engineers to ensure that RAM requirements of the project are achieved, provide support in investigating incidents and systemic failures on the project and provide innovative solutions to ensure continuous improvement is achieved on an ongoing basis.

About you:

• Degree qualified or equivalent in engineering
• Solid experience in reliability in Transport Systems (Aircraft, Rail, etc)
• You will provide RAMS engineering support to the engineering team in achieving design
• Prepare and manage the Rail Systems design reliability and safety in accordance to standards
• Ensure all safety related design issues are captured within the defined safety management process
• Investigate, document and provide recommendations to close outstanding FRACAS issues
• Perform and or develop test methods to qualify reliability of subsystems and individual components
• Knowledge and experience in reliability, availability and maintainability modelling and prediction techniques
• Exhibit high level of communication skills and report writing
• Proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to fault find and diagnose problems
