THE ROLE
To provide maintenance support to the Mill Processing Operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of mining equipment

To provide maintenance support to the Mill Processing Operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of mining equipment
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Safety, Health & Environment:
- Promote awareness and comply with site standards and procedures in SHEC
- Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals in support of the department, site and company standards
- Demonstrates leadership in SHEC through personal behaviors and conversations, and ensuring that the Asset Management team report all SHEC incidents and participate in SHEC initiatives
- Take responsibility for the safety of all personnel, including yourself, at Nyrstar Tennessee Mines
- Wear proper PPE at all time
- Assist in maintaining effective short and long-term maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Assist monitoring for effective preventative and breakdown mechanical maintenance procedures
- Assist liaising with warehouse and suppliers (if appropriate) regarding parts and consumables requirements and plans
Provide progressive Processing operations through: - keeping up to date with new developments in techniques and computing for maintenance of mechanical equipment
- submission of ideas for more effective and efficient procedures and methods.
- Actively participate in the Asset Management department team to support and promote agreed decisions of the department
- Consistently apply Workplace Management Procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and visions and values
- Appropriate trade or related qualification in the maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment or a related discipline
- Preferred 1-2 years experience in maintenance, within a mining, construction, or industrial plant environment
- Familiar with basic hand tools
- Familiar with basic mechanical parts
- Basic math, writing, and communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Mines Regulations
- Basic technical knowledge and skills, including a broad understanding of mill maintenance concepts
- Act as general assistant to experience Mill Maintenance Tech
- Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication duties with direction from Senior Techs.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Basic rigging and weight handling
- Able to change basic couplings
- Able to change basic idlers on conveyors
- Competent in Pipefitting and construction up to 2"
- Basic Lubrication
- Ability to use a forklift
- Basic housekeeping functions
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills and a "team-oriented" approach to the achievement of tasks
- Proficiency in relevant software
