Who we're looking for:

We are looking for a Condition Monitoring Technician to identify and manage asset risks that could adversely affect our business operations. Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, the role is focused on lowering costs, and improving productivity by addressing loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitate and drive the Equipment Reliability Process, as it pertains to Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, Infrared Thermography, Tribology, Ultrasonic, Vibration Analysis

• Data collection and analysis of defined vibration and thermography routes

• Non-destructive testing of equipment components and assets

• Standardization of sampling processes and techniques across fixed and mobile plant

• Alert Reliability Engineers and Maintenance Leadership of abnormal trends and analysis results

• Lead or assist with root cause analysis investigations, PM/PdM optimization, and other Reliability continuous improvement efforts

• Create work requests for equipment deficiencies observed in the field

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work safely in a heavy industrial setting and a demonstrated track record of problem-solving abilities. The following qualifications are preferred:

• A Trade qualification and/or a higher certification

• Ultrasonics Level 2 certification, with 3 - 5 years of experience with NDT, DPI and MPI methods

• Level 2 certification in vibration analysis, certifications in at least two (2) additional technologies, and a minimum of 3 - 5 years of PdM experience

• Knowledge of complex rotating equipment and their maintenance techniques and fault analysis

• Working knowledge of the SAP Plant Maintenance module
