The Role:
We are seeking a Graduate - Process Control to work in the Asset Management Department at the Lihir Gold Limited operation in Papua New Guinea to support the Senior Engineer - Process Control and OT/IT Process Control teams in maintaining and developing the process control and information systems, so that a high level of system availability and integrity is maintained. The Role:
We are seeking a Graduate - Process Control to work in the Asset Management Department at the Lihir Gold Limited operation in Papua New Guinea to support the Senior Engineer - Process Control and OT/IT Process Control teams in maintaining and developing the process control and information systems, so that a high level of system availability and integrity is maintained. Some of the responsibilities include;
- Assisting in implementing requested changes to plant control systems according to department change management procedure
- Assisting with maintaining the availability of the plant data historian
- Assist in providing technical assistance and support to the production and maintenance supervisors, shift teams and metallurgists responsible for crushing, grinding, flotation, leach and gold recovery areas.
- Assist in managing the plant hardware system components of the plant control system, ensuring high availability and acceptable processor times and system loading
We are looking for someone who:
- Relevant industrial work experience desirable, preferrably minerals processing.
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal, written communication and public speaking skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (Process Control) or similar essential
- IEPNG Graduate Membership essential
Mobilisation Requirements:
- FIFO roster
- Ability to provide/obtain valid police clearance
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
