Purpose

The Chemical Clerk will perform the various office tasks required during the entire supply chain process for Chemicals highly focused on CONAPRED substances.
They are in charge of reporting in front of Government authority to the management of these substances. They also provide advisement and guidance on warehouses and any other storage areas across the site in accordance with QHSE practices.
They usually work closely with Environment, Safety and Security Departments in order to make compliance within national regulations for chemical material handling.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges

· Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama.
  • Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance at their area of work.

· Support Daily Inventory control activities.

· To Validate Chemical requisition in order to determine if they are part of listed CONAPRED substances. It should be applied in all Chemical requirements of Minera Panama.

· Coordinate CONAPRED permit with Chemist for substances and liaise with relevant departments to ensure compliance

· Confirm compliance in all CONAPRED Storage areas as well as its availability. Maintain updated Storage points in liaison with land and permits Dept.

· Conduct monthly stock takes of all chemical storage areas on Site approved by CONAPRED.

· Report monthly consumption of substances to CONAPRED.

· Safekeeping of all evidence of tracking for approved storage areas and substances CONAPRED.

· Keep Register of receiving and issuing transactions related to CONAPRED substances.

· Maintain and develop database to evidence the control of CONAPRED substance movements onsite.

· Report any non-compliance to responsible Department.

· Control, report and reduce operational costs, and ensure cost consideration taken with all decisions.

· Implement FQM Way culture in the Control Room team - "Bolder, Smarter, Driven, Together."

· Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
· Education

· High School Diploma

· Partial Studies of Safety/Hygiene, Environmental, Risk management, Logistics and Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Chemistry

· Proficiency on MS tools [Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.]

· Knowledge of ERP is desirable.
