Job Details
Reporting directly into the Asset Maintenance Manager, this role is focused on to provide safe, efficient and cost-effective operational control of Process Control Systems and Interfacing extended OT systems in accordance with legal requirements and company objectives.
Provide leadership and operational direction to the area work teams, ensuring resources, capacity and capability are aligned to the work plans. Responsibility for performance reporting and documentation; identify, report on and recommend corrections of variance to plan / process; drive and monitor continuous improvement focused on safety, value and cost reduction.
Responsibility for leading professional personnel who are responsible for the specification, implementation and support of process control systems and development and maintenance of a process control and systems strategic plan.
Requirements:
- Related qualifications within Process Control, Instrumentation
- Expert/Professional experienced working in the Engineering area with a minimum Process Control experience of at least 10 years working at the mining projects, ideally in Africa
- Previous exposure to Wonderware/Eurotherm System Platform (SCADA)
- Experienced on Process Control systems and how they are required to be designed and configured. Expert knowledge of DCS systems, PLCs and SCADA systems
- Experienced in Process Control design to cater for Asset Management and Obsolescence
