KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety, Health, Environment and Community

  • Promote awareness and comply with site standards and procedures in SHEC
  • Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals in support of the department, site and company standards
  • Promote awareness by reporting and managing all potential hazards
  • Take responsibility for the safety of all personnel, including yourself, at Nyrstar Tennessee Mines
  • Ensure correct use of safety signs and barricades
  • Work to establish safe work procedures
  • Wear proper PPE at all times

Maintenance Strategies

  • Achieve processing targets by:
  • maintaining effective short and long-term maintenance of electrical equipment
  • assisting in monitoring for effective preventative and breakdown mechanical maintenance procedures
  • liaising with Team Leader and Electrical Planner regarding parts and consumables requirements and plans
  • continually reviewing the most appropriate electrical maintenance methods equipment and plans

Provide progressive Processing operations through:
  • keeping up to date with new developments in techniques and computing for maintenance of electrical equipment
  • assisting in development of new techniques and procedures that will streamline electrical maintenance processes

People and Organization

  • Actively participate in the Asset Management department team to support and promote agreed decisions of the department
  • Support effective discipline, communication and relationships within the team and between teams
  • Consistently apply Workplace Management Procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and visions and values

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Appropriate electrical certification. MSHA Certified Electrician certification preferred, or TN State Certification for residential/commercial considered
  • 5-10 years experience in industrial electricity , within a mining, construction, or industrial plant environment
  • Program GE, Allen Bradley, ABB, and Siemens PLC's
  • Program DC2000 Hoist Controller
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
  • Calibrate Nuclear devices
  • Full understanding of Mining flow and automation
  • Able to use electrical diagnostic equipment for downloads and trouble shooting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Mines Regulations
