Description

This position will support our Morenci Mine location in Morenci, AZ

Collaborates between Site Operations and Corporate Staffing, under general supervision, to ensure hiring decisions are met in an efficient manner, processes are followed, and priorities of the site are understood.

  • Communicate directly with site leaders, site HR staff, and Corporate Staffing, regarding progress of requisitions, position-specific staffing issues, and process
  • May attend regular leadership and workforce planning discussions to address staffing-related issues
  • Consult with hiring managers to determine job-specific preferred qualifications and site requisitions for posting
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and Corporate Staffing to gather immediate feedback regarding the quality of candidates in process
  • Assist Corporate Recruiters with resume/credential reviews and pre-screening of candidates as needed
  • Apply detailed understanding of business needs to the recruiting process to help identify qualified candidates who meet client needs
  • Monitor and track progress of staffing activities
  • Assist in expediting activities and collaborate with Corporate Staffing to address bottlenecks
  • Possess and apply general knowledge and understanding of EEO, OFCCP, and Affirmative Action policies as determined by the company as well as state/federal agencies to ensure compliance
  • Occasionally represent the company at local job fairs and assist with coordination of local staffing events
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of Recruiting/Human Resources-related experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of Recruiting/Human Resources-related experience
  • Employment law principles as they apply to recruiting/hiring






Preferred Qualifications

  • E xperience supporting an Operations group in an HR or similar capacity, to include recruiter support
  • Ability to travel and work on-site multiple times, during the period of a month
  • Experience supporting multi-locations in a liaison role between leadership and recruiting department
  • Proven ability to multi-task and handle a variety of high-priority, confidential tasks
  • Practical experience overseeing and responsible for monitoring entry level hiring programs
  • One (1) year of experience generating data analytics, assessing/forecasting and tracking
  • One (1) year of experience in a Business Development, Account Manager, or other customer-relations type of position
  • Intermediate capabilities with SuccessFactors and Excel
  • Experience utilizing SAP or other HRIS
  • Willing and able to travel for Career Fairs and/or support other recruiting activities

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Project demands could dictate varied work hours
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
  • Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
