To support this exciting long-term mining exploration project, Ambler Metals is assembling its leadership team in Anchorage. We are currently seeking a Study Director to be part of the Anchorage leadership team with responsibilities to advance the UKMP projects through the prefeasibility and feasibility stages of mine development, the most advanced of those projects being the Arctic Project.

In addition to a collaborative and innovative work environment, Ambler Metals offers a full competitive total compensation package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, Health Savings Account contributions, group term life insurance, 401(k) retirement savings, 8 paid holidays each year, three weeks' paid time off for each of the first four years of employment, and access to the employee assistance program for a variety of services to support a work-life balance. We work closely with NANA Regional Corporation, align our core values with Inupiat values, and respect the overarching traditional values as taught by the Inupiat Elders.

The Study Director will manage the design, development, and optimization of the UKMP study programs, including the Arctic Project, and will oversee all engineering work associated with and through all phases of Ambler Metals projects investment processes. This position will manage the engineering team, including contractors and consultants, and will work cooperatively with the Exploration, Environmental, Permitting, Finance and Operational teams. Additionally, the Study Director will be responsible for assessing all aspects of process facilities and mine design, including tailings management, waste rock disposal, water treatment, and project infrastructure designs.

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 15years’ professional mining industry engineering experience, with at least five years’ experience working in a role with relevant responsibilities.
