Purpose

Newmont is seeking a General Foreperson for the Fixed Asset Process Maintenance to be responsible for the safe maintenance and repairs of the Crushing, Milling and Adsorption Desorption Recovery Plants. This role is accountable for overseeing all approved mechanical, electrical and contractor work, co-ordinating and supervising the work of all plants, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and material required to do the work safely and productively. This role will have 4 direct reports with a number of indirect reports.

Essential Duties

  • Environmental Compliance
  • Ensure that work execution standards are reliable, repeatable and best practices are replicated across all fixed plants
  • Understand maintenance reliability to reduce unplanned down and re-do work
  • Ensure that direct reports and team members follow methods or procedures specified by planning team to achieve the outcome
  • Ensure direct reports manage daily resource availability to achieve daily schedule
  • Ensure that during execution any other identifiable plant defects are repaired or recorded
  • Ensure direct reports account for all work orders on a daily and weekly basis
  • Works closely with planning General Foreperson to understand all scheduled planned work
  • Proactively manage carry over work for input into next maintenance plan
  • Perform routine QA/QC of completed work with direct reports and planning staff
  • Proactively manage urgent work with direct reports and planning staff to ensure safe execution of urgent work
  • Be part of hiring, mentoring, coaching and succession planning
  • Assist in Environmental State and Compliance Inspection
  • Ensure training at all levels is being performed
  • Manage performance issues when necessary.

  • Good computer skills

  • Ability to work directly with others
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred


Working Conditions

This position is located at our Cripple Creek & Victor Mine Site near Cripple Creek, CO.

The salary range offered for this role is $ 98,400-129,100 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
