Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor Major Maintenance to join the Energy Operations team. Reporting to the Superintendent Major Maintenance, you will be responsible for the management of all allocated major maintenance events undertaken across the Fortescue Energy assets, with the aim to deliver the required power availability to meet production requirements.

Supervisor Major Maintenance

Fortescue has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor Major Maintenance to join the Energy Operations team. Reporting to the Superintendent Major Maintenance, you will be responsible for the management of all allocated major maintenance events undertaken across the Fortescue Energy assets, with the aim to deliver the required power availability to meet production requirements.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Identifying campaign risk, and subsequent development and implementation of suitable mitigation strategies
- Development and control of HSES Plans for all activities within area of responsibility
- Lead the development of the major maintenance task specific hazard analysis assessments with the Fortescue and Contractor direct reports
- Provide overall supervision, guidance and work direction for maintenance and specialty service teams
- Detail activity planning and workpack creation for assigned CMMS generated and Engineering generated work orders
- Commercial negotiation with contractors in regard to man-hours and resource numbers for activities
- Ensuring budgets are managed within limits and in order of established priority and in compliance with Company Financial Policy
Qualifications and skills required:
- Mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
- Extensive experience with aero-derivative gas turbines and reciprocating engines
- Demonstrated experience in managing events throughout the shutdown lifecycle within the power station, utility, oil and gas, refining or a complex process industry
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with experience managing a contractor workforce
- Flexible, adaptable and work well under pressure in a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Flexible in terms of work location and work hours
- Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
- Demonstrated commitment to Fortescue's values and achieving an incident and injury free environment
