Join TransitNEXT and become part of The Trillium Line Extension project, expanding and enhancing transit services in Ottawa.

As part of the Trillium project based in Ottawa, we are looking for a qualified professional responsible for the Quality Control of Trillium Structures.  The incumbent will be responsible for the creation of inspection test plans (ITPs) with the construction team and compiling QA/QC records for all project the structures (17 different active locations/Bridges)

How will you contribute to the team?
  • Rebar inspections along with EOR to obtain certificate of conformity and ensure all the quality records are in place before concrete pours.
  • Tracking of Concrete mix design used on all structures
  • Material receival inspections for precast prestressed girders, bearings, deck slabs and other structural elements.
  • Revising construction work methods with to make sure we cover all quality points as per OPSS/CSA standards and other design codes.
  • Post concrete pour inspections and deficiency tracking. Propose concrete repair procedures and products for the repair.
  • Coordinating with lab team for temperature monitoring during concrete curing period and compressive strength tests
  • Reviewing lab reports, survey and other investigation reports.
  • Weekly meetings with Client for structures update and resolving different quality concerns.


What will you contribute?
  • You have a Structural Engineering related degree
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in QA/QC
  • Able to lead discussions with the partners and clients
  • Team player who is also able to work independently and handle conflicting priorities while maintaining consistent, quality performance standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines and prioritize effectively, while delivering high quality work
  • Effectiveness in Microsoft Office and other applications used on the project
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
