We are looking for a Maintenance Support Officer to join the Maintenance Engineering Team at Yandi to provide an effective and efficient inbound materials consolidation process, in a timely and safe manner. The key focus is to provide direct support to the Mobile Maintenance Planners

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent and working 8 days on, 6 days off, this role will require you to:
  • Working collaboratively with the maintenance Planners and Schedulers
  • Analyse parts requirements for planned work
  • Ensure timely consolidation of parts through the coordination with Maintenance Planners, schedulers, Warehouse Officers, freight providers and other external vendors.
  • Consolidate materials in accordance with scheduled Work Orders.
  • Coordinate the return of stock to the warehouse
  • Actively engage in warehouse operations including deliveries, stock control and housekeeping
  • Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound freight.
  • Provide frontline procurement and logistics support to the maintenance planning and scheduling teams
  • Promoting positive behaviour and a supportive safety / team culture.
  • Manage Core and Warranty returns with vendor partners and other RTIO sites.


This role is for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia. Rio Tinto offers Fly in and fly out options from Perth, our regional FIFO hubs and the opportunity to live in our residential towns where applicable.

What you will bring
  • A Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organised with the ability to work independently while being a part of a larger dynamic engineering team.
  • Strong SAP skills required to navigate around purchasing, maintenance and supply
  • Experience in a warehouse or logistics distribution centre
  • Knowledge in the maintenance repair, planning or scheduling of mobile equipment
  • C Class manual licence or higher
