About the role

The Production Supervisor is a key role within our team onsite. It provides the link between our workforce and leadership; often ensuring that the work is proceeding as expected and our targets are being met.

A successful Supervisor has the inherent skills and knowledge to be able to resolve problems effectively; balance short term & long term goals, and to ensure the safety of the crews. This role will strongly suit a mechanically minded person.

We currently are looking for several Supervisors across our Pilbara and Yilgarn operations on a 2/1 roster ex Perth.

What we're after
  • Provide frontline task allocation, direction, mentoring and supervision to the crews onsite
  • Maintain operational discipline and consistency across shifts and teams by ensuring that operating strategies/philosophies, troubleshooting guides and escalation protocols are adhered to at all times
  • Monitor and report on operational compliance; planning and implementing corrective action plans in situations of non-compliance
  • Liaise closely and regularly with plant Metallurgists to identify process related issues and develop immediate rectification actions
  • Liaise closely and regularly with Maintenance Supervision to identify maintenance related issues and develop immediate rectification actions
  • Communicate and execute daily and weekly production schedules to establish priorities, interactions and isolation requirements within the team
  • Provide assistance to the Production Superintendent and Permit Coordinators in the implementation and execution of operational shutdown schedules and plans for with all major and minor planned maintenance shutdown events
  • Responsible for the execution of the process plant housekeeping schedule, routine, and audit process
  • Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service

What you'll bring to the team
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated previous experience within a Crushing Plant or similar Fixed Processing Plant environment
  • Knowledge & understanding of computers (Excel and MS Office suite); capable of compiling and presenting reports
  • Ability to lead teams
  • Demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in remote locations, physically mobile with a good fitness level
