About the Role

Reporting directly to the Processing Training Specialist, the Processing Training Facilitator will be responsible for identifying and delivering training needs at Pinto Valley Mine. This role will be utilized to facilitate and deliver training to departments with focus on the hourly workforce. The Processing Training Facilitators will work with departmental trainers and the Leadership Team to develop performance skills training while demonstrating Capstone’s Vision and Values as a part of each aspect of the position’s responsibilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs as determined for the apprenticeship program of Processing maintenance and operations and ongoing training programs within the Processing areas.
  • Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs as determined by training needs assessments and department leadership teams.
  • Designs and delivers training that is relevant and understandable to the target audience.
  • Maintains familiarity with existing mining processes and to-be solutions for the operation to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Ensure training schedules and plans are fulfilled on time by working with department trainers and administrators.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and modify training programs as required.
  • Aide in creating learning literature and direct structured learning experiences.
  • Responsible in the development and implementation of apprenticeship programs. I.e. Maintenance Mechanical, E&I, Operations Programs.
  • Manage training documents and ensure regulatory compliance with document control.
  • Collaborate with HSEC to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all employees are working in compliance with all Pinto Valley Mine and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for but not limited to all tasks/duties assigned or required.
  • Mentor and coach trainers across site.
  • Report out progress to PVM Leadership.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge
  • Familiarity with PVM information systems (CMO, SAP, Microsoft Office) with potential to increase knowledge base and utilization of information systems
  • Driver’s license, ability to work in all areas of Pinto Valley Mine

Key Competencies / Skills
  • At least 5 years mining, preferably with time spent in a training position.
  • Training facilitation and presentation required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain training material.
  • Working knowledge collective bargaining concepts, agreements and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and EEO statutes.
  • Strong interpersonal, team building, coaching, written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with hourly and salaried employees to achieve Capstone’s goals.
  • Able to speak, comprehend, read and write English.
  • Ability to be flexible in job assignments.
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position requires the ability to split time between office and field work. There may be some work involving off-site vendors and contactors as well.


Physical Demands of the Role
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Time will be spent in a plant setting which includes indoor and outdoor work as required in all weather conditions.
