Exciting times are ahead in our Invercargill Construction team with projects galore from the Milford Road to community renewals and bridge projects and we are on the hunt for a construction Contract Engineer to assist our construction team with managing projects, carpenters and subcontractors.

About this role
This role will see you delivering projects which include but are not limited to; contract requirements, optimization of resource use and achieving target results to the client's satisfaction, on time and within budget. You will be:
  • Managing the project specifications, drawings, be able to work and run crews unsupervised
  • Utilising plant and understand what gear projects need and when they need it
  • Plan and understand financial costs

Ultimately you will be responsible for delivery, delivery, delivery!

About you
Bring your proven willingness and capability to learn and couple it with your previous experience in civil construction (at least two years) with exposure in pavements and earthworks plus a tertiary qualification and were keen to see your application. Other things you need to bring to this role will include you:
  • Holding a full current driver's licence
  • Having excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Bringing strong interpersonal skills - for all internal and external customers
  • Having a positive attitude and commitment to providing a high quality of service
