Reliability Engineer - Electrical
Work Location: Chichester Hub
Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
The role of the Electrical Engineer is to provide technical support using initiatives and applying engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility - Cloudbreak.

Reliability Engineer - Electrical
Work Location: Chichester Hub

The role of the Electrical Engineer is to provide technical support using initiatives and applying engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility - Cloudbreak.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Liaison with relevant departments to provide technical solutions
- Manage the development and execution of operational and capital projects
- Complete Root Cause Analysis for plant downtime events
- Ensures compliance to relevant Fortescue and legislative electrical standards
- Ensure correct application of Health & Safety standards including Change Management
- Monitor quality assurance of critical processes
- Achieve targets set for defined sections of area budgets
Qualifications and skills required:
- Minimum 3+ years heavy industry experience, preferable in fixed plant ore processing in an engineering and/or projects role
- Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus
- Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations
- Knowledge of computer management systems, specifically SAP
- Good knowledge on GE PLC interface
- HV Protection relays experience
- VSD experience highly regarded. ABB, WEG, Siemens
- Instrumentation experience highly regarded. VEGA, Hawk, ABB, Siemens
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Planning, organisational, budgeting, scheduling and coordination skills
