Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.

Port Colborne is home to our Nickel Refinery where raw materials from our Sudbury operations are processed into electrocobalt and precious metals and serves as a distribution centre for finished nickel products.



The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Process Superintendent II – Business Support, Victor/Blezard/ Near Surface Projects to join our Strategic Business Projects Department in Sudbury. This is a permanent position.

As a Process Superintendent II – Business Support, you will support the project team in leading support and coordination functions. Act as the lead contact for supporting the integration of business systems and work including: VPS, HSE initiatives, Finance and Cost Initiatives, Training, Asset integrity, IBP Planning and Forecasts, Capital Vetting and execution projects, HR and other initiatives and roll outs as required. The incumbent will also co-ordinate regular Project performance meetings, supporting project leadership team meeting requirements and support as required. Additionally, in this position you will:
  • Audit and analyze systems within the area(s) of accountability to achieve the following output
  • Lead the coordination, implementation and integration of business systems, structure and roll out of initiatives
  • Act as the Project representative to support the Base Metals support areas including:
    • VPS
    • DBO/DBM
    • Fatal Risks
    • Cost Performance Initiatives
    • IBP Planning and Forecasting
    • LOMP and Planning
    • JV development of systems and policies
    • Partnership model assessments for projects
    • Diversity and Inclusion
    • Asset integrity
  • Support the Manager of Operational Readiness, Victor/Blezard
  • Support the Project Manager for Near Surface Deposits
  • Lead JV Policy, Procedure and Systems development
  • Support the project leadership team
  • Other duties as required



About You
  • Possess a post-secondary education or equal work experience.
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience. Experience with:
    • Mining or Industrial Operations Projects
    • Mining Technical or Industrial Technical Workstreams
    • Mining or Industrial Business Systems
