Job Description:
The successful applicant will be reporting to the Mining Manager and will be responsible for all underground operations. This position is responsible for providing direction and managing health and safety, manpower issues, costs, and productivity while executing the 3 month and Life of Mine Plan. The schedule for this position is eight (8) days on and six (6) days off.
Qualifications:
The ideal applicant will possess a minimum of 20 years' experience in mine operations, with 3 to 5 years as a General Foreman underground. Previous experience and technical experience of longhole/blasthole mining methods would be highly regarded.
The applicant must possess Ontario Common Core modules for underground hard rock mining and Ontario Supervisory Common Core. Any post-secondary education, namely an Engineering degree or college diploma in Mining would be an asset, but not a prerequisite.
