Position Overview
As a Staff Mechanic, you will support Regional Construction & Mining operations. The position will deal with day to day as well as long term issues related to an equipment fleet. The position's main focus will be to improve equipment reliability as well as implement, monitor, audit, and manage preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities
• Provide troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on heavy mining equipment
• Work with diesel and gas engines, hydraulics
• Perform basic welding functions as needed
Qualifications
• Two or more years' previous mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Knowledge of diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and 24V electrical systems
• Welding certification is desirable
• Ability to work both inside and outside as required
Working Conditions
Shop and outdoors surface mine environment; constant standing and walking on uneven terrain as needed. Work outdoors as needed in ambient temperatures. Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb on and access equipment safely. Must be able to wear full body harness and work at heights while tied off. Frequent bending, pushing and carrying.
