About the Role?
We are looking for experienced Process Engineers who will be responsible for working with the Northern and Southern plant operations and maintenance teams to improve plant availability and reduce downtime to safely achieve the production plan. Role is based in Weipa on a 5 month contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure control and optimal operation of the process by monitoring and responding to key performance data, including process disturbances and changes in the plant feed quality
- Identifying and actioning changes to improve efficiency of the operation
- Engaging with and upskilling of operational teams
- Establishing and maintaining standards such as equipment operational checks and product QA
- Representing the plant in inter-departmental decision making
- Engineering Degree (Process Engineer preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar metal processing heavy industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to rigorously analyse data and provide solutions to process issues
- Excellent MS Office suite, literacy, numeracy and report writing skills
- Previous experience in Process Engineering software/computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
