Due to an internal promotion, we now have an exciting opportunity to become part of our high performing team as an Asset Information Technician. Reporting to the Asset Information Manager (AIM) this role is responsible for enhancing our services to our clients and developing contract teams primarily focused around the IT systems used in asset management.
Based in the coastal city of Gisborne, you will provide support to not only the AIM, but the entire Gisborne team and external supply teams as one collaborative group. You'll ensure the deliverables of our contracts are being achieved and make the best use of available financial, human and physical resources to provide a customer focused delivery team.
About the position:
You will ensure that key customer and stakeholder relationships within the Gisborne Transport and Operational Teams are developed and maintained, actively fostering a "best for Network" approach. You will assisting the Asset Information Manager and Client with information collection and analysis. You will also be involved in:

- Asset Inventory/database management and oversight of data quality
- Data analysis, treatment selection and the development of the forward works programmes
- Training and developing the supplier team in the use of asset management processes and tools
- Managing the processes associated with the provision of data and condition collection
- Ensure health and safety works are in place for teams and members of the public
- Management of monthly financial and performance reports
- Provide support to field staff with their data collection devices -tablets, mobile apps etc.

About you:
Along with proven industry experience and knowledge, you will have the ability to adopt a risk based approach and apply engineering judgement, you will also bring:
- Previous RAMM software experience is preferred otherwise proven analytical and computer skills (particularly relational database skills)
- A high level of attention to detail and communication skills
- The ability to liaise between operational and technical
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills and
- Time and work management/prioritisation skills.
