This role will predominantly involve concreting, some basic carpentry and general construction works around live services. This job is for a well known contractor on a car park site in Port Hedland.

Job Description

• Working in a confirmed work area of 2000m2
  
• Working in and around live underground services on a brownfields site
  
• Flexible blue collars workers who will be required to operate machines and also work on the ground
  
• Site demolition works of exiting kerbs, pits and footpaths
  
• Cut to fill on site earthworks
  
• Excavate and install site drainage and pits and backfill
  
• Pot holing via vacuum excavation to locate buried service
  
• Excavation for concrete foundations, footpath
  
• Place basecourse pavements for asphalt
  
• Install signage
  
• 6am to 5pm with 30 min unpaid lunch break Mon to Friday, Half day on Saturdays (subject to site requirements)
  
• Duration of the project approx. 3-4 months
  
• Base Rate plus penalties after 7.6 hours
  

To be successful

• Drivers Licence (minimum C Class ??? no provisional or extraordinary licences accepted), in colour, front and back
  
• Construction card (white or blue), in colour, front and back
  
• Previous concreting experience
  
• Previous carpentry experience
  
• Experience on the excavator and bobcat
  
• HR preferrable
