About the Role:
Workpac are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Office for a full time, permanent position with our client based on the Gold Coast.
Our Client is a leader in Aged Care facilities with ongoing expansion across Australia. An exciting opportunity exist for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to support the Payroll Manager in our Clientsâ Head Office in Bundall. This role will assist supporting and guiding the payroll team to complete accurate and timeley processes for 1500 staff as well as lead training and development. This is a full time Monday to Friday permanent opportunity.
Accountabilities and Requirements:
  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees in relation to all payroll matters
  • Manage the ticketing system (Zendesk) and delegate queries and requests throughout the team as required
  • Drive efficiencies in payroll processing and systems, highlighting risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies as they are identified
  • Monitor and maintain accurate payroll records
  • Keep up to date with all internal policies and legislative instruments and ensure compliance at all times
  • Provide a combination of scheduled and on-the-job training to staff in conjunction with the Payroll Manager to promote skill-sharing and competency-building across the team
  • Previous experience in a Senior Payroll/Assistant Payroll ManagerÂposition is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in CHRIS 21 or iCHRIS and Time Target would be highly advantageous
  • Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise workload
  • The ability to work productively within a team environment in a varying and fast paced environment, whilst also maintaining a strong focus on attention to detail
  • You must to be able to work well under pressure in compressed timelines and always keep your cool â a good sense of humour is a must!
