Position summary

The High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) Project is a Victorian Government initiative and a $2.3 billion investment in Victoria's rolling stock industry.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our team in VIC - Newport.

The Planning Manager major modifications is responsible for supporting Production and Material Planning activities at the HCMT Newport Facility.

Key responsibilities will include

• Manage the preparation of manufacturing plans and schedules for Newport Manufacturing activities;
• Monitor the progress of manufacturing against agreed production plans
• Assist General manager in identifying and forecasting areas that need attention to facilitate program recovery
• Prepare progress reporting, charts and other management information to ensure high levels of visibility
• Liaise with CRRC Changchun to monitor production control activities such as generation of work orders, configuration control documentation, material requisitions
• Participate and contribute to effective and timely intro of Engineering change, assess the impact of engineering changes on manufacturing plans and highlight areas of concern
• Assist in material planning activities
• Proactively assist the manufacturing manager to identify areas where timely action is needed to protect the project plan

About You:

• Meet the requirements of a rail safety worker
• Relevant Degree Qualifications
• Significant experience and knowledge in manufacturing planning, design and production environments
• Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment or unsupervised as required
• Knowledge and commitment to ensuring a safe workplace
