Dimensions

This position will have global application, providing technical support and guidance for Enterprise Asset Management EAM SAP data governance for all regions.

The position will also be expected to deliver value to the organization through continuous improvement and technical advancements in developing technical framework for SAP PM and supporting achievement of business plans and strategy.

Incumbent will also be expected to demonstrate leadership through coaching, mentoring and developing individuals and advising project teams to exceed expected performance levels

Purpose

  • Lead Data Governance and sustaining activities within the EAM SAP platform.
  • Define and Assist end users in training of SAP PM processes and systems activities
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of EAM master data to the data standards, and report data quality and audit results to business leadership teams as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Global Data Owners GDOs and Global Business Process Owners GBPOs of all functions to achieve business objectives and goals
  • Identify and articulate business ideas, suggestions and propose problem resolutions within functional areas of responsibility


Essential Duties

Provide Strategic direction on Global Data Governance (SAP PM), to ensure consistency, uniformity, approval, and accuracy of Master Data, across all systems.

Cascaded information and provided context for business and functional priorities to resolve data quality issues portfolio wide; collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement appropriate business solutions.

Implement proactive controls for data standards in SAP PM, and monitor data quality Ensure the data decisions are consistently and clearly communicated throughout all impacted stakeholders.

Develop efficient process to run designated reports weekly/bi-weekly/monthly that will support analytics, data quality dashboards & metrics.

Maintain, communicate and train as necessary to ensure understanding and compliance with all standards, guidelines and processes.

Manage root cause analysis of Master Data change requests to determine potential issues.

Lead Regional Data Owners RDOs and RBPO as appropriate to resolve any issues and improve process efficiencies.

Lead business process improvements that will promote greater data integrity and control.

Apply business judgment to solve problems and make timely decisions with regional maintenance teams on SAP data quality and compliance.

Align department objective (Asset Management, Supply Chain and Finance) to facilitate business efficiencies within SAP process / systems.

Establish systems, procedures and variance reporting to ensure Asset Management (Corporate/Region & Site) are compliant with SAP PM Standards and Guidelines.

Lead Global Data Management and Data Governance data clean-up and validation efforts adjusting priorities; allocating and reallocating resources (people and budget) appropriately to achieve defined outcomes.

Build and maintain collaborative, influential relationships with all Global business partners and stakeholders to ensure the integrity and fit-for-purpose of EAM data is maintained.

Drive commitment and continuous improvement within Newmont portfolio in SAP data governance, clearly aligning department objectives and metrics with functional strategy.

Contribute to and/or conduct review of Global SAP PM data quality to ensure quality, accuracy, data integrity, and technical compliance.

Effectively communicate recommendations and drive compliance for process improvements based on audit results related to data integrity and adherence to all Data Governance standards, policies & procedures.

Deliver value to the organization through the regular evaluation and application of SAP PM technical research, trends and continuous improvement opportunities.

Identify and support efforts to implement technical advancements and continuous improvements that delivered value to the organization (enhanced productivity, reduced cost and/ or created business opportunities).

Set aligned objectives and clearly defined success for each project/deliverable with customers.

Contribute to the development of guidelines and procedures; ensured self and others fully complied with company policies and standards

Training & Experience

B.S. degree in related field or equivalent work experience required

Significant demonstrated understanding of SAP Plant maintenance module

Significant demonstrated understanding of end to end business processes, within Enterprise Asset Management

10+ years of (preference to mining) operational experience/data governance preferred.

Expert level SAP experience required.

MS-Office Suites required; Proficient in Excel and Word.

Working Conditions

The position is located in the Denver corporate office.

Flexible hours to accommodate global meeting times.

Willingness to put in extra hours as projects and priorities dictate.

Some travel to domestic and international sites required

The salary range offered for this role is $ 98,400 to 129,150 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
